We offer this service not just on our own equipment but for any switchboard even if the original manufacturer no longer exists.
We have in the past assisted many clients, especially in City areas, to increase the capacity of their distribution without the cost of full replacement equipment and long costly shutdown periods.
We can often replace individual fuse switches/MCCBs, even obsolete equipment, with modern switchgear without affecting the integrity of the switchboard.

This work requires a great deal of engineering experience coupled with the ability to apply flexibility of thought to overcome often seemingly insoluble problems.

This facility also extends to the modification of existing Motor Control Centres, Power Distribution Units and Control Panels.

On occasions enough information can be taken without the need to isolate the switchgear, although mostly a shutdown would be required. Generally it is a customer requirement that any shutdown is out of normal working hours, sometimes overnight. This enables us to offer a first class service with minimum disruption to the client.

We supply drawings incorporating the modification for approval together with a detailed method statement and risk assessment. We inform the client of the time required to complete the work and agree a programme.

The work is carried out by our own personnel and where necessary the design engineer will be present to assist. This ensures a smooth operation with minimum disruption to supply continuity.
